No “J”s allowed!

Just signing up is a pain.

Here’s the story. Went to go sign up and pay for the iPhone Developer Program with my dad’s help (as I don’t have a credit card) yesterday. The first problem we came across was that we couldn’t use my account with his credit card. Annoying but reasonable, I guess.

Here’s where it really got annoying. After paying it said it should have notified me in 24 hours by my email address. Instead, it arrived in my dad’s inbox. So we sign his account up for the free iPhone dev account so that I can at least submit OutNumber under his name. It didn’t work.

After a phone call we learn the problem is that on the credit card, where it says my dad’s name, he has “David J” instead of just “David” which is the name on his account. Since they don’t match, it won’t work.

So… Oh for crying out loud. It wasn’t the “J” after all. Everything went to him but it was my account that registered.
